Business Applications Internship (1 post) Ref: 01/08/2025
Duration: 12 Months contract
Stipend: R7 450.62 per month

Qualification Requirement: Minimum NQF Level 7 in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Placement: Performance Monitoring Unit, supporting data systems, knowledge management, and dashboard management.

Key Learning Areas:

  • Business process automation and digital tool development.
  • Maintenance and enhancement of performance monitoring applications.
  • Assistance in the development of interactive data dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Support for ICT-based knowledge management and document systems.

Developmental Outcomes:

  • Exposure to systems thinking in a public-sector context.
  • Practical experience with tools like Microsoft Power BI, Excel VBA, or open-source dashboards
  • Understanding IT governance and digital infrastructure within a performance monitoring environment.

Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Internship (1 post) Ref: 06/2025
Duration:

Stipend: R7 450.62 per month

Key Purpose
To be part of the CEO’s Office dynamic team to provide administrative and coordination support to the CEO, facilitate effective communication with key stakeholders and supporting the delivery of key Organisational strategic and operational deliverables.

Assess and develop comprehensive process flow diagrams based on the used cases. Work with cross-functional teams/business units to translate business needs into technical specifications.

  • National Diploma or a Degree in IT, ITIL certification would be an advantage

  • Ability to conduct feasibility studies to build and support business cases.
  • Skills to perform gap analysis between the current and desired states to identify improvements opportunities.

Duration: 12 Months contract
Stipend: R7 450.62 per month

Qualification Requirement: Minimum NQF Level 7 in Internal Auditing, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or related field.

Placement: Research & Performance Monitoring Unit

Key Learning Areas:

  • Data collection, analysis, and report writing for performance monitoring
  • Contribution to quarterly and annual performance reports
  • Support in tracking implementation of audit recommendations and action plans
  • Assistance in developing M&E frameworks, indicators, and tools

Developmental Outcomes:

  • Practical grounding in M&E principles and government reporting standards.
  • Exposure to strategic planning cycles and alignment with government priorities (e.g. MTDP, APP).
  • Familiarity with internal audit principles, AGSA processes, and performance risk assessment.

Key Purpose
To assist the Operations unit with the implementation of the projects namely:
Broadcasting Digital Migration (BDM) and assist with the monitoring and evaluation of these projects.

  • Diploma in business admin/ diploma in business management/ or diploma in project management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential
  • Ability to manage databases, maintain records, and ensure accurate data entry
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams) and other communication tools
  • Ability to juggle several tasks at once without losing attention to detail
  • Attention to detail, by ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately
  • Computer literacy in software programmes – Compulsory

Key Purpose
The intern will support the Risk Management function in execution of the planned activities and initiatives toward achieving the Agency objectives and the management of an appropriate risk culture.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 6 / National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in: Risk Management, Internal Audit, Accounting, Postgraduate, Advance Diploma and Honours will be an added advantage

Skills and Competencies

  • Computer literacy, attention to detail, analytical thinking, verbal & written communication, planning & coordination and administrative skills

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Risk Manager in reviewing and maintaining risk management governance documents and frameworks.
  • Support the Risk Manager in coordinating, compiling, and monitoring the overall risk management.
  • Support the Risk Manager in the maintenance of comprehensive and up-to-date risk registers.
  • Support the Risk Manager the effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of Agencies’ risks.
  • Assist in preparation and submission of risk management reports.
  • Scheduling and contributing in risk management meetings.
  • Administrative support and maintenance of risk management records.
