Position: SharePoint Admin Intern
Duration: 3 – 12 Months
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
The internship contract will have a duration from 3 up to 12 months. The position is a skilled position that requires work in an office setting, during regular office hours. At times, work after hours may be required.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The main purpose of this role is to assist the database administrator with day to day activities including the management of SharePoint permissions and managing the corporate document management system.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a motivated intern to provide support for various tasks related to our ongoing project initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with the data administrator and project team members to assist in the implementation of key deliverables.
- Support the alignment and merging of current Project SharePoint sites to the agreed folder structure.
- Assist in merging Z-drive folders with established SharePoint structures.
- Contribute to updating the Knowledge Base documentation including tags and adding them to the Company Document register aligned with the Company Codification procedure.
- Assist with updating Department SharePoint Home Pages.
- Support the consolidation of key company policies and procedures by collecting and communicating outstanding documentation with all departments.
- Support the integration of required links in Project SharePoint sites and merge existing site data with the agreed folder structure.
- Support Project administrators with SharePoint access and permission.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Quality control intern will report directly to the Database Administrator with functional input from the Corporate QA Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The successful candidate will possess at least a National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of SharePoint and document management systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
It will be advantageous to have obtained the following certifications:
- Familiarity with SharePoint.
- Understanding of Document Management Systems.
- Information Technology (IT) skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical skills.
- Experience working in team environments.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn.

- Advanced Microsoft Office Training
