uYilo: Graduate Internship 2026

uYilo invites motivated and qualified graduates to apply for its 2026 Graduate Internship program, offering an 11-month hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience and mentorship in the rapidly growing field of energy storage. This internship is designed to equip participants with practical skills in laboratory quality management, battery testing, project management, and cutting-edge technologies, preparing them for impactful careers.

Purpose: This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies in energy storage, preparing graduates for impactful careers in this growing sector. Candidates should be highly motivated and are expected to take initiative. Working Hours: Working hours are strictly from 08:00 – 16:30 Mondays to Fridays. Work Plan: Interns will be actively involved in:
- Laboratory quality management systems (ISO, SANAS), writing of SOPs, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), including safe handling of battery manufacturing materials and batteries.
- Battery and raw chemical material handling and analysis.
- Testing batteries and/or raw materials.
- Day-to-day laboratory support activities.
- Project management, including proposal writing, literature searches, experiment execution, reporting, and participation in mini research projects.
- Participation in training sessions to strengthen technical, quality, and project management skills.
General Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with energy storage projects as per the operational plan.
- Support laboratory activities by carrying out tasks aligned with your qualification and skillset.
Minimum Qualification: The program is aimed at graduates who have completed any one of the following from a University of Technology or TVET college within the last 3 years:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a chemistry field.
- Diploma in an energy storage-related field.
- Diploma or qualification in quality management systems, or a strong demonstrated aptitude for laboratory quality systems (ISO, SANAS, GLP).
- Additional Requirements:
- The program is not open to students enrolled for AY2026.
- Failure to meet the minimum qualifications will result in automatic disqualification.
