Tronox KZN Sands is offering an exciting 2-month Vacation Work opportunity for students eager to gain valuable industry experience. (South African citizens only).

Duration: 2 months contract
Location: KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Tronox KZN Sands are inviting applications for Vacation Work students at our operations located in Empangeni and Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal (South African Citizens Only).
Primary purpose:
To provide students with an opportunity to obtain practical work experience (vacation work) related to their field of studies.
These are temporary positions for a period of 2-months from December 2025 to January 2026.
We are looking for dynamic and self-motivated individuals with the necessary ability and intention to enter a Vacation Work programme for the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)
- Mining Surveying
Who can apply?
Students who:
- In terms of their curriculum, must do vacation work in order to comply with course requirement to graduate (Proof of such requirement should be provided upon application).
- Are currently in their 3rd and 4th year of studies.
The following documentation should accompany your application:
- 1-page concise CV with certified below listed supporting documents (not older than 3-months):
- Identity Document (ID)
- Grade 12 certificate
- History of academic results e.g. a 4th year student should send from 1st year to June of the 4th year.
- Validation letter from university specifying the requirements for the vacation work program.
- Proof of Residence from Traditional Council (TC)
NOTE: Preference will be given to applicants from the following Traditional Councils/Municipalities:

- Kwa Nzuna Area [Inkosi Nzuna]
- Kwa Mkhwanazi [Inkosi Mkhwanazi]
- Ogagwini [Inkosi Zulu]

- Macambini [Inkosi Mathaba]
- Madele [Inkosi Zungu]
Municipalities:
- uMhlathuze Municipality
- uMlalazi Municipality
- Mandeni Municipality
