Introduction

Tracker Connect is offering the opportunity of a lifetime to 30 of South Africa’s young people with great potential, through an Installation Technician Work Integrated Learning Programme to start 01st February 2025. The purpose of the Programme is to upskill young unemployed youth to enable them to install electronic equipment into various vehicle types including trucks and plant machinery.

Key Outputs: A supervised and structured learning approach that has a combination of theoretical and workplace learning.

Job description
  • Perform the installations as per the set standard of quality.
  • Complete all relevant documentation associated with the installation.
  • Be able to follow a pre-determined installation schedule.
  • Provide customer service in accordance with a set standard.
  • Be responsible for all fixed assets issued by the company
Minimum requirements
  • Candidates should be studying towards a qualification in Electrical Engineering related fields e.g. Autotronics or Auto Electrical or Electrical Engineering N3 (Light Current)
  • A Letter from a University/TVET College confirming student requires workplace exposure to complete qualification
  • Currently unemployed with no previous formal work experience
  •  No previous Technical related programme experience
  • Willingness to travel for the related coursework
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Age between 18 and 35 years.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Dedicated and responsible individuals
  • Computer literacy will be advantageous (MS Office)
  • Independent thinking
  • Logic and reasoning
  • Valid driver’s license

Introduction

Tracker Connect is offering the opportunity of a lifetime to 8 of South Africa’s young people with great potential, through a System Support Learnership Programme NQF Level 5 which will be based at Tracker Head Office in Johannesburg, to start 01 February 2025. The purpose of the Learnership is to capacitate young unemployed youth with IT skills, experience and knowledge required to deliver excellent service. Key Outputs: This learning intervention is a full qualification which consists of structured unit standard-based learning combined with practical/workplace experience which totals to 147 credits. After having gone through the qualification the young people will be equipped with the following competencies:

  • Candidates should be studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
