Description
The position will be based at SAHETI School a coeducational school situated in Bedfordview and the successful incumbent will report to the HR Manager.
They will be required to assist in various HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding and compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/ NQF 4;
- Must have or must be studying towards a degree or diploma in Human Resource Management/ Industrial Psychology or related field;
- Good administration and organisational skills;
- Experience with business software such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
- A high level of confidentiality;
- Excellent interpersonal ;
- The flexibility and willingness to learn;
- The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail;
- The able to work under pressure;
- The ability to multitask;
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliverables include, but will not be limited to:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in posting job openings on job boards and social media;
- Screen resumes and applications;
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers;
- Keep recording of all school requirement;
- Participate in initial interview rounds.
Onboarding and offboarding:
- Support the onboarding process by preparing employee welcome kits and gathering necessary paperwork;
- Ensure all new employee documentation is collected and accurately filed;
- Assist in exit interview preparation and documentation.
Employee record management:
- Help maintain up-to-date employee records in staff files and/or HR database;
- Organize and digitize physical employee files;
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
HR Administration:
- Assist in administering employee benefits, including answering basic questions about medical aid, retirement plans, and other benefits;
- Assist with the coordination of HR initiated trainings/events and team-building activities:
- Assist with policy reviews and drafting;
- Process leave and track habitual absenteeism;
- Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as needed.
Compliance:
- Assist with ensuring that the school remains compliant with Labour laws and regulations;
- Support audits by gathering and organizing required documentation.
Other duties:
- Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, and scanning;
- Assist with any other HR-related tasks as assigned by the HR Manager or team
