The South African Canegrowers Association invites unemployed youth to apply for Internship Programme 2024.

Position: Youth Internship Programme

Location: KwaZulu-Natal, Malelane and Komati Areas

Closing Date: 27 September 2024

SA Canegrowers Association is looking for 10 passionate young individuals to join their Youth Internship Program as Junior Farm Managers on sugarcane farms in KZN and the Malelane/ Komati areas.

Successful candidates will enjoy a monthly stipend, on-farm accommodation, and hands-on experience in the sugarcane sector.

At SA Canegrowers and under the leadership of Human Resources Manager, Karen Close, development plans are established for each employee wanting to further their academic qualifications or behavioural development.

Some of the study needs are available through in-house training, on the job training and depending on budget, external providers are contracted in.

The performance and competence of each staff member is closely monitored and discussed regularly with each individual line manager.

Workshop and conferences attended by staff include:

  • Leadership training
  • Negotiation training
  • Technical training
