The 2025 Bursary Programme is now open for applications, with a closing date of 07 February 2025. This programme supports studies in various fields, including I.T., Mining, Finance, Geology, Engineering, Environmental Management, Supply Chain, Data Sciences, Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, and Trades.

Rosond takes pleasure in investing in the future by providing young people with valuable skills in a variety of sectors. The 2025 Bursary Programme provides support in the following areas:

  • Trades

Requirements:

  • Applications are open to undergraduate students between 18 – 30 years of age.
  • Applicants must have a GPA score of above 60% average.
  • Priority will be given to applicants from within Rosond Host-communities.

Supporting documents required:

  • Certified ID copy
  • Certified Matric Certificate / Certified copy of Academic record
  • Latest Financial Statement or Quote from the institution
  • A Motivational Letter stating why the bursary should be awarded to you.
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of registration with a tertiary institution.
  • Proof of combined household income or parents / Guardian

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
▪ Funding is applicable for one academic year only.
▪ Bursaries are given at the sole discretion of ROSOND. Any decision to award a bursary will be final and ROSOND will not enter into further communication with applicants who were not successful.
▪ The bursary is applicable from 1st to 3rd year undergraduate studies at a South African accredited institute of Higher Learning.
▪ Applicants will be considered according to academic performance and financial need as determined by ROSOND external bursary policy.
▪ Application forms that are not signed, incomplete or incorrect will not be considered

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
▪ To be considered as an applicant for the ROSOND external bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
▪ Be a South African citizen.
▪ Must be registered with an accredited institution of higher learning for one of the critical and scarce skills as determined by the ROSOND.
▪ Bursars must have a minimum average pass mark of 60% in order to qualify for a bursary.
▪ Priority will be given but not limited to previously disadvantaged bursars who are planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate degree or diploma in an area that falls within the scarce and critical skills requirements of ROSOND.
