PUTCO Graduate Internship Programme 2026 | In partnership with Transport Education Training Authority (TETA).

PUTCO, in collaboration with the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA), invites applications for 24 Graduate Internship opportunities for unemployed graduates who have completed a Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in relevant disciplines. The programme offers structured workplace experience within the transport sector across several operational locations.

Duration: 24 months
Monthly Stipend: R6 500
Locations: Soweto, Pretoria, Linbro Park, Head Office
Closing Date: 08 April 2026

Available Internship Fields

  • Operations / Traffic Department (Soweto and Pretoria)
    • Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Transport Management or Logistics or equivalent
  • Accounts Department (Soweto and Pretoria)
    • Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
  • Human Resources Department (Pretoria and Linbro Park)
    • Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Personnel Management
  • Technical Department (Soweto and Pretoria)
    • BTech Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Procurement / Stores Department (Soweto, Pretoria and Head Office)
    • Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Completed Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in a relevant field
  • Qualification obtained from a recognised TVET College, University of Technology, or Public University
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must be under 35 years of age
  • Must be medically fit

Conditions of Employment

  • 24-month fixed-term internship contract
  • Monthly stipend of R6 500 for the duration of the programme
  • 15 days annual leave
