Job Description

Lucchini South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is excited to offer a Production Technology Learnership Programme for 10 motivated individuals aged 18-24. This 12-month learnership is designed to provide hands-on experience and skill development in production processes, with a focus on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations.

Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting day-to-day production activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to the achievement of production targets. Key Responsibilities

As a Production Technology Learner, responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine production maintenance and reporting irregularities to relevant structures.
  • Applying fundamental concepts of production systems, planning, scheduling, and control.
  • Implementing quality control and assurance practices to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Assisting in the setup and operation of production equipment and machinery.
  • Supporting the NDT production line by replenishing materials as needed.
  • Conducting regular quality checks and reporting discrepancies to maintain product standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with safety regulations.
  • Compiling accurate production documentation, including reports and schedules.
  • Collaborating with NDT Technicians and Operators to meet production targets.
  • Handling logistics tasks such as packaging, labeling, and inventory control.
  • Facilitating effective communication between production and other departments.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with quality and safety regulations at all times.
  • Supporting the production team in achieving daily operational goals.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate with passes in Mathematics and Science.
  • No prior work experience required; suitable for students or unemployed individuals.

Competencies & Skills:

  • Aged 18-24 years at the time of application.
  • Strong time management skills and punctuality.
  • Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
  • Medically fit to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
