PIC: Bursary Programme 2026

Public Investment Corporation invites South African citizens under the age of 25 to apply for the 2026 bursary program. This opportunity supports first-time undergraduate students pursuing qualifications in fields such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Finance, Law (LLB), and various other disciplines critical to economic and financial development.
Applicants must meet academic requirements, including a minimum 60% pass rate for matriculants and a 60% average for tertiary students, and must be registered or accepted at a South African public accredited institution of higher learning.
Applications require submitting a certified copy of a South African ID, recent academic results, and proof of household income, among other supporting documents. Preference will be given to applicants living with disabilities.

Eligibility:
- Open to South African citizens under 25 years old
- First qualification only undergraduate level; no post-graduate
- Preference given to:

- Tertiary students must achieve at least 60% per module and an overall 60% average in recent results
- Applicants must be registered or accepted at a South African Public Accredited Institution of Higher Learning
Requirements:
- A recently certified copy of your South African identity document (ID)
- Mid-year 2025 academic results or the latest available results
- A copy of your National Senior Certificate (Matric certificate), if completed
- Proof of household income of parent(s) or legal guardian(s)
- Latest payslip(s) (not older than 3 months)
- If unemployed: an affidavit declaring unemployment and stating annual income
- If self-employed: 3 months’ recent bank statements
- Certified copy of parent(s)’ death certificate(s), if applicable
- Proof of disability, if applicable to the applicant
