About the Position
The SHEQ Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that the business operates in accordance with internationally recognized standards, legal requirements, and customer expectations. The position focuses on developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving systems related to Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Food Safety, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) compliance.
The successful candidate will oversee quality assurance, environmental compliance, food safety systems, risk management, contractor management, audit preparation, and continuous improvement projects. Key Responsibilities

Management Systems
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve integrated management systems.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Quality or Food Safety.
- An Engineering qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
Candidates should possess between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience, including:
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated management systems.
- Managing systems across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Experience managing multiple facilities will be advantageous.
- Experience supervising multiple quality laboratories.
- Managing employees at different organisational levels.
- Working with the Department of Labour and other government departments.
- Experience within an FMCG or packaging manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Practical experience conducting risk assessments.
