Limpopo DPW: 12-month Electrical & Building Learnerships

The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, in partnership with the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) and supported by Edu House South Africa, has opened applications for two 12-month learnership programmes aimed at unemployed youth aged 18–35. Each successful candidate will receive a monthly stipend of R3 500 and earn a nationally recognised qualification through structured theoretical training followed by workplace exposure

1. Electrical Learnership

  • Position: Electrical Engineering Learnership
  • Stipend: R3 500 per month
  • Duration: 12 months

2. Multi-Learnership (Building & Civil Construction)

  • Position: Plumbing, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Painting, Community House Building
  • Stipend: R3 500 per month
  • Duration: 12 months

The Electrical Engineering Learnership consists of 4 months theory and 8 months practical training, while the Multi-Trade Learnership covers Plumbing, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Painting and Community House Building with 4 months theory in Polokwane and 6 months practical exposure. Applicants need a clear Matric (Grade 12) certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent, certified ID copy and CV. Applications close strictly on 19 December 2025 at 16:00

Programme overview
Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure in partnership with Construction Education and Training Authority supported by Edu House South Africa, invites candidates to apply for a 12-month Learnership Programme in Electrical Engineering.

This Learnership consist of 4 months theoretical training and 8 months of workplace exposure. Successful candidates will be required to attend the theoretical training in Lebowakgomo, Motantanyane, Centre for Community Development or Abakholiwe Community Developers.

  • Therefore, candidates must be willing to relocate for the duration of both the Theoretical and Practical component.
  • Candidates should be between 18 – 35 years of age.

A monthly stipend of R3 500 will be provided to all enrolled candidates for the duration of the programme.

Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure in partnership with Construction Education and Training Authority supported by In Touch Community Development and Project Managers, invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for a 12-month Learnership Programme in Building and Civil Construction under the following pathways:

  • Plumbing, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Painting and Community House Building.
  • Candidates should be between 18 – 35 years of age.

This learnership offers 4 months of theoretical training and 6 months of workplace exposure. Successful candidates will be required to attend the theoretical training in Polokwane. Therefore, candidates must be willing to relocate for the duration of the theoretical component.

Minimum requirement

  • Clear certified copy of ID (preferably in colour)
  • Clear matric (Grade 12) certificate and above
  • Curriculum Vitae

A monthly stipend of R3 500 will be provided to all enrolled candidates for the duration of the programme.
