The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development invites applications for the AgriSETA Work Integrated Learning Placement Programme for the 2026/2027 financial year. This opportunity is aimed at students who require practical workplace exposure in order to complete their qualification requirements. A total of 15 positions are available in the field of Farming Management.

Successful candidates will be placed at Madzivhandila College of Agriculture or at any workstation allocated by the College. The programme offers a 12-month fixed-term contract designed to provide structured on-the-job training, practical work experience, and exposure to the realities of the Public Service environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants should be unemployed and between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Applicants must have graduated from TVET colleges only.
  • Should have never participated in the AgriSETA Graduate Placement or any developmental programme.
  • Successful candidates will enter a twelve (12) months term contract with AgriSETA and Madzivhandila College of Agriculture.
  • Vhembe and Mopani district municipality residents will be given preferential consideration.
  • Proof of registration at a TVET College
  • Verifiable and valid proof that he/she requires Work Integrated Learning opportunities.
  • Copy of Matric certificates
  • N6 Farming Management certificate

DUTIES

Successful applicants will be offered a twelve (12) months comprehensive fixed term contract for structured on the job training to enable them to gain practical work experience and a better understanding of the needs and realities of the Public Service. This will prepare the graduates for proper entry into the formal job market.

Noting there is limited space provided for Part E, F & G, applicants often indicate “refer to Curriculum Vitae (CV) or see attached”, this is acceptable as long as the CV has been attached and provides the required information. If the information required is not provided in the CV, the applicant may be disqualified.

It must be noted that a CV is an extension of the application of employment Z83, and applicants are accountable for the information that is provided therein.

The question related to conditions that prevent re-appointment under Part F must be answered (Applicants currently employed by the public service do not need to complete the section).

The application must include only completed and signed Z83 form and a recently updated comprehensive CV (with detailed previous experience).

Certified copies of Identity Document, Senior Certificate and the highest required qualification as well as a driver’s license where necessary, will only be submitted by shortlisted candidates to HR on or before the date of the interview date.

The applicant may submit additional information separately where the space provided on Z83 form is not sufficient.

Successful incumbents will be expected to sign a performance agreement within three months of the assumption of duty and be required to disclose their financial interest in accordance with the prescribed regulations.
