KZN Social Development: Internship Programme 2025

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Department of Social Development invites unemployed graduates to apply for the 2025/2026 Internship Programme. This initiative aims to contribute to youth skills development by offering a 12-month contract that provides valuable workplace experience and improves employment prospects. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of R6 000.00.

REQUIREMENTS
KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Department of Social Development is contributing towards skills development initiatives for the youth in the province by providing opportunities to unemployed graduates to gain workplace experience in various work disciplines. Applications are therefore invited from unemployed graduates to participate in the Internship Programme that will run for a period of 12 months contract, which will provide them with valuable work experience and increase their opportunities towards employment.
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed graduates residing in KwaZulu-Natal.
- Have completed a 3-year degree or national diploma from a recognised University or University of Technology (attach proof of qualification and graduation).
- Have never participated in any government internship programme (National, Provincial, or Local).
- Be computer literate and prepared to undergo a structured interview.
- Be willing to relocate to any district office if required.
Preference will be given to persons with disabilities and applicants residing within the specific district.
