Kagiso Media has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative graduate!
We are looking for a Multimedia Content Intern to join our On-Demand Content Team based in Durban. This 12- month internship provides a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about multimedia content creation, social media and podcast production to gain hands -on experience within one of South Africa’s leading radio groups. For the duration of the internship a basic stipend will be paid.
You’ll work closely with the On-Demand Content Head, contributing to the creation and promotion of engaging multimedia content. This is a unique opportunity to start your career in a professional environment while learning and growing in content creation, podcast production, and social media management.
Learning Outcomes:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of multimedia content strategies.
- Create and edit visual content, such as audiograms, Youtube podcasts versions, and social media videos, with guidance.
- Assist in the production and basic editing of podcast episodes, focusing on maintaining high audio quality.
- Participate in executing social media campaigns to promote podcast content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, X and LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective promotion and content sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Broad general knowledge and general computer literacy- (MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint/ Outlook)
- Basic understanding of audio editing software and multimedia tools is beneficial but not required.
- Strong interest in social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
- Understanding of journalism principles for writing good copy.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.
- Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, with good time-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
