Internship Programme for Unemployed Graduates – Life Healthcare

Life Healthcare invites suitably qualified unemployed graduates to apply for a 12-month Human Resources internship programme based at the Head Office in Dunkeld, Johannesburg. This opportunity is aimed at providing practical workplace experience to graduates who have successfully completed HR and/or IT-related qualifications. Five interns will be selected and placed within a chosen Human Resources function aligned to their field of study, supporting professional development and skills transfer in a real-world healthcare environment.

The internship is registered with HWSETA and offers a monthly stipend of R6,000 for the duration of the programme. Applicants must be South African citizens under the age of 35, currently unemployed, and in possession of a completed HR or IT qualification, depending on the selected HR function. Introduction

An opportunity exists for five (5) unemployed graduates to participate in a 12-month Human Resources internship programme. This initiative aims to provide unemployed graduates who have successfully completed IT and HR-related qualifications with practical workplace experience aligned to their field of study.

Successful candidates will be based at the Life Healthcare Head Office in Dunkeld, Johannesburg, for the full duration of the internship.

Critical Outputs

The internship programme includes exposure to one selected Human Resources function. Applicants must indicate one preferred HR function they wish to gain experience in from the options below:

  • Payroll
  • HR Systems (preferably candidates with an IT qualification)
  • Skills Development
  • Organisational Development and Transformation
  • Resourcing / Recruitment and Selection

The internship will be registered with HWSETA, and learners will receive a stipend of R6,000 per month for a period of 12 months.

  • Applicants interested in HR Systems must have completed an IT Diploma or Degree
  • Applicants must have completed an HR Diploma or Degree
  • Only South African citizens under the age of 35 will be considered
