The purpose of the Artisan Development Programme is to create better future opportunities for aspiring Artisans in the sector and the country.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 passed with pure Mathematics 50% and Physical Science 50% pass; or
- Completed N3 Engineering Studies relating to trade
- Clear criminal record
- Driver’s license

- Fitting and Machining Trade Theory
- Engineering Drawing
DIESEL MECHANIC (x3)
- N3 with the following subjects:
- Pure Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Engineering Drawing
- Diesel Trade Theory
BOILERMAKER (x1)
- N3 with the following subjects:
- Pure Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Mechanotechology
- Plating and Structural Steel Drawings
- Plater’s Trade Theory

- Certified medically fit
- Pass client screening and induction
- Applicants must not have been in a similar Apprenticeship Programme before
- A formal trade test will be required on completion of an Apprenticeship
