ERWAT invites qualifying university students to apply for an external bursary opportunity aimed at supporting talented individuals who have successfully completed their first year of study and are currently pursuing degrees in engineering and science-related fields. The bursary is intended to assist students with strong academic performance and a commitment to furthering their studies at a Gauteng public higher institution of learning.

The bursary covers tuition fees, accommodation, books, and includes a monthly stipend. Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area.   • BSc/BEng Chemical Engineering
  • BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering
  • BSc/BEng Electrical Engineering
  • BSc/BEng Civil Engineering
  • BSc Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry
  • BSc Biotechnology
REQUIREMENTS:

The applicant must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Must have completed first year of study in 2025
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum average of 65%
  • Applicant should not be holding any other bursary
  • Aged between 18 to 35 years
  • South African Citizen
  • Registered at a Gauteng Public Higher Institution of Learning
  • Have excellent communication and written skills
  • Attention to detail
