Position: Graduate Trainee – Travel
Location: Centurion, Gauteng

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
The overarching objective of the graduate program is to transition graduates from a higher learning institution to a work environment. We aim to help graduates become well- rounded young professionals with great prospects and a positive future.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, MEASURES & INTERFACES
The Graduate Trainee will be given exposure to the following areas: Assist in scheduling travel arrangements according to ECIC Travel Policy and communicating bookings
- Assist in capturing records of all travel undertaken in the organization and costs incurred
- Assist with ensuring timeous preparation of the travel budget
- Quarterly administration of Travel contracts.
- Manage and oversee relationships with the appointed Travel Management Company and other
- travel service providers.
- Assist in conducting travel analytics and preparing travel management reports.
- Review invoices against bookings and communicate bookings to travelers as required.
- Assist in tracking travel spending against budget by keeping a record of travel undertaken and costs incurred, confirming invoices, and keeping track of the budget balance available annually.
- Ensure timeous processing of invoices and that the travel credit card has sufficient funds and is reconciled to invoices.
- Assist in safeguarding and reconciliation of travel petty cash.
- Assist with managing and responding to customer service issues at all levels in the organization in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive and ongoing reviews of the travel operations and travel policy to identify and improve process efficiencies and improve the traveller experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Number of changes made after issuing of itinerary.
- % satisfied travelers.
- Average number of days between request for travel and issue of itinerary.

- Travel Management Company and other relevant suppliers.
- National Treasury
- Internal and external auditors.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- A Diploma in Travel Management and/or related field
- Applicant should be unemployed South African citizens under the age of thirty-five (35) and have not benefited from any internship previously and preferably from the formerly disadvantaged groups
