Position: Terrestrial Intern

Description
The Terrestrial Intern will assist in various field and office tasks related to terrestrial ecosystems.
This role provides hands-on experience and offers an opportunity to learn about biodiversity conservation, aquatic ecologist etc.
Requirements
- Assist with field data collection and ecological surveys.
- Participate in survey design, proposal scoping and costing, and business development and marketing activities.
- Participate in habitat restoration projects and maintenance.
- Support the analysis and interpretation of data collected during fieldwork.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Help maintain field equipment and supplies.
- Working in close collaboration with specialists from other disciplines.
Skills
- Good foundational knowledge of aquatic ecology
- Basic understanding and practical experience with environmental legislation and National Water Act.
- Great report writing skills and ability describe the issues and propose solutions.
- Superior organisation skills, excellent communication skills, and good time management skills.
- Willing to travel locally and internationally, including the rest of Africa.
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- BSc. degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in terrestrial ecosystems and conservation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis software is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
