The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE) invites applications from candidates for a temporary position of Forestry Worker for a period of 11 months (EPWP Project).
Position: Forestry Worker X17
Salary: R100 per day
Location: Luvhola, Moddervlei State Plantation, Limpopo
Requirements:
Be at least 18 years old.
Must be a South African citizen.
Must be strong enough to walk and work up, down and around the plantation.
Must have a Stamped – Residential Letter.
Be able to walk to and from work places without help by transport.
No standard qualifications needed, but must be able to communicate and write e.g. Names and Signature.
Duties:
Perform silvicultural activities such as weeding, fuel reduction, marking and pitting for planting and planting.
Perform fire season, readiness activities such as firebelt, slashing and hoeing.
