Duties: Preparing food according to menus, serving food and refreshments, cleaning the kitchen, canteen and food equipment, and working shifts including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
Brailist — 11 posts
Salary Level: 07 | Salary notch R338 106.00 per annum, salary range R338 106.00 to R398 227.00
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent. A recognized certificate in Braille Grade 1 and 2, knowledge of Braille Mathematics, and computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are added advantages.
Duties: Taking part in a designated Braille testing program, transcribing material from ordinary print into Braille, and training learners to use assistive devices such as refreshable Braille machines and magnifying devices.
Driver/Messenger — 26 posts
Salary Level: 04 | Salary notch R201 093.00 per annum, salary range R201 093.00 to R236 877.00
Requirements: Grade 12/Matric certificate, a valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit, and three years of bus driving experience as an added advantage. A driving competency test applies before appointment.
Duties: Transporting learners in special schools, following traffic laws, assisting learners during loading and off-loading, carrying out vehicle inspections, reporting mechanical faults, collecting and delivering documents, route planning, record keeping, and general support duties.

Important Application Information
Applications must be submitted using the prescribed new Z83 Application Form, which has been effective since 1 January 2021. The form is available from any Public Service Department office or can be downloaded from the DPSA website at https://www.dpsa.gov.za/newsroom/psvc/.
The completed Z83 form must be originally signed and dated and must be accompanied by a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing qualifications, training, competencies, knowledge, and work experience. Successful candidates will undergo Personnel Suitability Checks, including criminal record verification, citizenship verification, qualification verification, employment verification, and financial or asset record checks. Successful applicants will also be required to obtain the necessary security clearance. In addition, all shortlisted candidates, including Senior Management Service (SMS) candidates, will complete a practical assessment to evaluate technical and generic competencies, as well as an integrity assessment.
