About the Danone Ascend Graduate Development Program
The Danone Ascend Graduate Program is a 24-month structured development initiative designed to build the next generation of Danoners. It focuses on addressing future skills and talent needs in key functions that drive our strategic direction. You’ll gain hands-on experience through cross-functional rotations, work on real business challenges, and receive targeted training to accelerate your career in a global FMCG leader.
General Responsibilities
- Rotate across functions every 3–6 months
- Support operational and strategic projects
- Analyze data and drive process improvements
- Collaborate on solving real business challenges
- Attend tailored training sessions and workshops
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management
Function-Specific Exposure (Human Resources focus with cross-functional rotations)
While the program has a strong HR pathway, you will also rotate through other key functions including:
- Production & Operations – Support production planning, monitor KPIs, and contribute to continuous improvement (e.g., lean initiatives)
- Marketing – Assist with brand campaigns, market research, consumer insights, and retail activations
- Finance & Accounting – Help with budgeting, cost analysis, financial reporting, and compliance
Primary HR responsibilities will include:
- Supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, and employer branding initiatives
- Assisting with learning & development programs and training coordination
- Contributing to HR projects (performance management, engagement surveys, DEI initiatives)
- Partnering with the business on people-related analytics and reporting
- Supporting change management and organizational development activities
About You – We’re Looking For
- Recent graduates (or graduating in 2025/2026) with a degree in:

➤ Industrial Psychology
➤ Related fields (Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Engineering degrees also considered for cross-functional exposure) - Strong academic record
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in both factory and office environments
- South African citizen or valid work permit
