South African UNEMPLOYED students are invited to apply for a bursary to study towards a built-environment qualification at a public institution of higher learning within the borders of South Africa.
THE THAPELO MADIBENG BURSARY SCHEME
This bursary aims to provide financial assistance for:
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks
- Accommodation and meals
- Transport fees (with conditions)
- Research allowance (for Masters and PhD students only.
Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Currently unemployed
- Intending to study towards built-environment qualification in a South African public institution
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 50%
- Have a total household income of less than R600 000 per annum
To apply, the following documents are mandatory
- Certified ID Copy
- Matric Certificate/Statement of results (for first-year applicants)
- Latest tertiary academic record (for second or subsequent years)
- Proof of acceptance from your tertiary instituation (for both first year and returning students)
- Certified Parents’/Guardians’ ID documents
- Parents’/Guardians’ proof of income (latest payslip etc.)
