Competition Tribunal South Africa welcomes unemployed graduates to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme for a term of 12 months (2025/2026).

Duration: 12 Months Contract

The Competition Tribunal is offering a paid, full-time internship, to a Human Resources graduate. The internship is for twelve months only.

The South African Competition Authority consists of three bodies, the Competition Commission, the Competition Tribunal and the Competition Appeal Court. The Tribunal acts as the court of first instance in competition matters, it decides on mergers, cartels and abuse of dominance cases brought before it by the Competition Commission, the investigative body, or, in some instances, by the complainant.

We are looking for an unemployed HR graduate to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms.
  • Ensure that personnel files are kept up to date.
  • Assist with Administrative tasks related to recruitment and selection process.
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates.
  • Assist with termination and on-boarding processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all reference and criminal record checks are carried out fully and in a timely manner.
  • Handle health and safety processes and queries.
  • Package documentation required for meetings and other departmental engagements.
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate HR events or functions.
  • Assist with the implementation of Employee Wellness initiatives.
  • Assist with human resources-related administration

Qualifications, Skills and experience

  • The applicant must have a Diploma in Human Resources. Bachelor’s degree in human resources would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Sage 300 People will be an added advantage.
  • Previous HR experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning, organising and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
