CBI-electric: African Cables Learnership Opportunity 2025

CBI-electric: African Cables invites applications for the Cable Manufacturing Learnership Programme (Vacancy #364), based in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The programme offers an opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in cable manufacturing, leading to a nationally recognised National Certificate in Power and Telecommunication Cable Manufacturing (NQF Level 3, SAQA ID 21011). Learners will rotate through various production units, working closely with experienced machine operators to develop practical skills across different stages of the manufacturing process.
The learnership runs until September 2026 and is open to South African citizens aged 18–35 years with Grade 12 / Matric, including Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum 50% pass in each). About the Learnership
This is a structured workplace learning programme that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical skills, leading to a nationally recognised NQF-registered qualification.
You will rotate through different production units, working alongside experienced machine operators across various cable-manufacturing processes. The majority of your time will be spent gaining practical experience on the factory floor.
Programme duration: Complete NQF Level 3 by end September 2026
Final qualification: National Certificate in Power and Telecommunication Cable Manufacturing (SAQA ID 21011)
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- Age preferably 18–35 years
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum 50% pass in each)
