BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to “protect life”. We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive, and meticulous Finance Intern to join a goal-oriented team.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Grade 12/ Matric or equivalent.
- Bookkeeping diploma or degree with accounting as subject
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.
- Good administrative knowledge.
- Documentation Management
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Accounts Receivables:
- Receive sales invoices from Johannesburg, check for completeness and request missing invoices.
- Ensure that each invoice is stamped (as POD), has a Picking List and an Order.
- Request and receive waybills from the courier company for any unstamped invoices or where there is no POD attached.
- Certify and scan all DOH Western Cape invoices to the Debtors Controller, who then forwards them to the WC DOH.
- Request supporting documents for Export invoices.
- Scan all debtors invoices and file electronically on SharePoint.
- File hard copies of all sales invoices in lever arch files in a number format (include an index page at the front of the file).
- Archiving of all debtors related documentation
- Capturing of financial invoices on SAP
Accounts Payables:
- Scanning of Biovac and BioGBS creditors invoices for electronic filing
- Archiving of all creditors related documentation
- Capturing of supplier invoices on SAP
Administration Activities:
- Archiving of all creditors-related documentation Assistance with Financial Audits
- Fraud awareness
- Adherence to the systems and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external role players
- Adhere to SARS legislation on all processing
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Advocate continual improvement and teamwork within the department
- Responsibility to complete training & keep knowledge up to date
