Ardagh Glass Packaging invites suitably qualified students to apply for the Work Integrated Learning Trainees Programme at the Clayville Factory. This opportunity is designed for individuals who require practical workplace experience to complete their qualifications and gain exposure within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The programme provides hands-on training across several departments, allowing participants to strengthen technical knowledge, workplace readiness, and professional skills while working alongside experienced industry professionals. Candidates currently enrolled at accredited institutions and requiring P1, P2, or experiential training are encouraged to submit applications before the closing date.

Selected trainees will support daily departmental operations, assist supervisors with projects, and participate in structured workplace learning aligned with their academic fields. Exposure is available in Human Resources Management, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation and Electronics, Safety and Environmental Management, and Operations Management. The programme also promotes teamwork, compliance with safety standards, and continuous skills development through mentorship and practical assessments, creating a strong foundation for future employment opportunities in the manufacturing sector.

Role description

Role responsibilities

Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Currently enrolled with a recognised, accredited institution
  • Requires WIL/experiential training to graduate with relevant P1 and P2 letter from a university of technology institution or experiential letter from a TVET College
