About the Internship Programme

The Internal Audit Internship Programme aims to equip unemployed graduates with practical skills and hands-on experience in municipal internal auditing. Minimum Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements before applying:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must have completed a National Diploma or Degree at a minimum NQF Level 6.
  • Qualification must be in Internal Audit or a related field.
  • Applicants must already be in possession of the completed qualification on the date of application.
  • Must be unemployed.
  • Must be seeking workplace experience related to the completed qualification.
  • Must not previously have participated as a Public Sector Intern.
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be fluent in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends when operational requirements demand.

Internship Duration

Monthly Stipend

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of: R9,715.41 per month

The stipend is intended to assist interns during the training period and does not constitute a permanent salary.
