The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) invites applications from unemployed TVET graduates to participate in the SASSETA-funded TVET Placement Programme. This structured workplace exposure initiative provides practical experience aligned with National N6 qualifications and supports transition into professional employment within administrative, finance, human resources, law enforcement support, and customer service environments.

PSiRA serves as the statutory regulator of the private security industry in South Africa and offers placement opportunities across several regional offices. The programme supports youth development while promoting representativity and inclusion in the public sector environment.

Successful candidates will participate in an 18-month placement programme and receive a monthly stipend of R4 950.

Human Capital Management Placement

Location: Centurion

Qualification Requirement:

  • N6 Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • Equivalent N6 qualification

This placement provides exposure to HR administration processes, employee support systems, and organisational workforce management functions.


Industry Training Placement

Locations:

  • Polokwane
  • KwaZulu-Natal
  • Johannesburg
  • Pretoria

Qualification Requirement:

The placement supports coordination of training initiatives within sector development programmes.


Finance Placement – Accounts Receivable

Location: Centurion

Qualification Requirement:

  • N6 Certificate in Financial Management
  • Equivalent N6 qualification

Responsibilities include financial administration exposure relating to revenue tracking and payment monitoring systems.


Finance Placement – Accounts Payable

Location: Centurion

Qualification Requirement:

  • N6 Certificate in Financial Management
  • Equivalent N6 qualification

Participants gain experience in invoice processing and expenditure tracking systems.


Finance Placement – Assets Management

Location: Centurion

Qualification Requirement:

  • N6 Certificate in Financial Management
  • Equivalent N6 qualification

Exposure includes asset register maintenance and compliance support processes.


Call Centre Placement

Location: Pretoria

Qualification Requirement:

  • N6 Certificate in Business Management

This placement focuses on customer support operations within regulatory service environments.


Complaints Management Placement

Location: Pretoria

Qualification Requirement:

Responsibilities include supporting complaint resolution systems and stakeholder communication processes.


Law Enforcement Administration Placement

  • N6 Certificate in Management Assistant
  • Equivalent N6 qualification

Exposure includes administrative support related to compliance monitoring and enforcement coordination.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • South African citizenship
  • Age between 18 and 35 years
  • Relevant N6 qualification from an accredited institution
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must not have previously participated in a TVET Placement Programme
  • Willingness to sign placement agreement with PSiRA and SASSETA
  • Ability to commit to the full 18-month placement period

Applicants currently participating in another SETA, NSFAS, or NSF-funded programme during the same financial year will not be considered.
