Business Analyst Graduate Internship | SHRA

The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) invites applications for the following two-year Internship opportunity, aimed at providing unemployed young South African graduates below the age of 35 with structured workplace experience.

The Young Graduate Programme is a 24-month internship designed to expose graduates from various Universities and Universities of Technology to practical work experience in a professional environment. This opportunity is open to South African citizens only.

Position: Business Analyst Intern
Department / Unit: Compliance, Accreditation & Regulations
Reporting To: Business Analyst
Location: Johannesburg
Duration: 24 months
Stipend: R11,175.00 per month

Key Learning Areas

The successful intern will be exposed to the following duties:

  • Assist in the verification of information submitted by reporting entities against supporting documents
  • Support the preparation of individual assessment reports
  • Support the issuance of compliance notices and declarations
  • Assist in preparing compliance monitoring reports
  • Assist in assessing submissions made by reporting entities to address compliance conditions
  • Support the development of remedial action plans and capacity development initiatives
  • Participate in internal investigations and diagnostic assessments to identify areas of non-compliance
  • Acknowledge receipt of documents and update the compliance database
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in one of the following fields:
    • Accounting Sciences
    • Accounting
    • Internal Auditing
    • Financial Management
    • Management Accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to verify data accuracy
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Computer literacy with a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Additional experience with data analytics software packages will be an advantage
