Job Description

ArcelorMittal South Africa is offering training opportunities to individuals in possession of a Grade 12 certificate to be trained as Process Operators at the Vanderbijlpark plant.

Successful candidates will enter into a 36-month Learner’s Agreement, focusing on the steel manufacturing process. The learnership follows a structured, outcome-based training approach that includes both institutional training and on-the-job training. Regular assessments and progress monitoring will form an integral part of the programme.

A contractual training agreement will apply. The bursary covers specified training costs, personal protective equipment (PPE), institutional training fees, personal insurance, and a bursary allowance. Permanent employment upon completion is not guaranteed.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have a completed Grade 12 qualification with the following minimum results:

  • English: 45%
  • Mathematics: 40% or Mathematics Literacy: 50%
