Companies Tribunal: Graduate Internship Programme

Companies Tribunal (South Africa) invites applications from unemployed South African graduates aged 18–35 for a 24-month internship programme based in Pretoria. Applicants must hold a relevant qualification in their field of study, possess basic computer skills, be able to work under pressure, and must not have previously participated in any internship or been employed. Successful candidates will gain structured workplace experience under supervision, supporting various administrative, operational and organisational functions, including case administration, hearings logistics, financial processing, records management, office coordination, communication handling, project support and general organisational duties. Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment will promote diversity in line with representivity objectives, and foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA.

1. REGISTRY INTERNSHIP

Stipend: R88 232,29 – R93 647,93 per annum | Centre: Pretoria | REF. 09/2025 | 2 Years Internship Programme

Requirements: Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Degree/ Diploma Public Administration / Management or Law/ Paralegal studies
  • The applicant should not have served internship before or been employed
  • Requisite computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office package and Excel)
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Must be between the ages of 18 to 35

Responsibilities: An Intern will participate in the following activities under supervision:

  • Support with administration of cases related activities
  • Support with hearings logistics
  • Assist with administration of members claims
  • Providing administrative support to the Registrar
  • Support with issuing of directives from members regarding allocated matters, reminders to members regarding allocated cases.
  • Support records practitioner with the implementation of records management strategies and filing of records from all the divisions

2. FINANCE INTERNSHIP

Stipend: R88 232,29 – R93 647,93 per annum | Centre: Pretoria | REF. 10/2025 | 2 Years Internship Programme

Requirements: Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a three (3) year Degree in Accounting or Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
  • No work experience is required
  • The applicant should not have served internship before or been employed
  • Requisite computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office package, Excel and Undergraduate Accounting Knowledge)
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Must be between the ages of 18 to 35

Responsibilities: An Intern will participate in the following activities under supervision:

  • Record and process invoices and prepare for payments
  • Administer the invoice register
  • Collate and process input for payroll.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations.
  • Disseminate pay slips to staff members.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain updated records.
  • Verify accuracy of invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
  • Process journals on a monthly basis including the such as Assets journal, Accruals journal, Prepayments journal, Payroll journal and Reclassification journals
  • Participate in inventory and asset count

3. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT INTERNSHIP

Requirements: Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a three (3) year National Diploma in Public Administration, Office Administration or related field
  • No work experience is required
  • The applicant should not have served internship before or been employed
  • Requisite computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office package and Excel)
  • Communication skills, Organisation and attention to details
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Must be between the ages of 18 to 35

Responsibilities: An Intern will participate in the following activities under supervision:

  • Calendar and Diary Management: Assist with organising and prioritizing the executive schedule, including meeting, appointment and travel arrangements
  • Communication: assist with handling incoming calls, emails and other communications ensuring timely communication and appropriate responses
  • Administrative Support: Assist with preparing documents, presentations, reports and other materials as needed
  • Meeting Coordination: Setting up meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on action items
  • Office Management: Maintaining confidential files, records and database as well as managing general office tasks
  • Special Project: Assisting with research, analysis and special projects as assigned by the executive
  • Liaison: Acting as a point of contact for the executive, both internal and external and ensuring clear communication
  • Process improvement: identifying areas for process improvement and implementing efficient administration systems
  • Project Management: Assist with managing project, working with other teams to achieve goals
