NGB: Internship Programme 2025

The National Gambling Board (NGB) is offering internship opportunities for unemployed graduates interested in building a career within the gambling industry. Available internship positions cover key disciplines including Enforcement, Gaming Control, and Marketing & Communications. These internships provide valuable practical experience, allowing candidates to develop skills and gain exposure to regulatory and operational aspects of the gambling sector.

The available internship positions at the National Gambling Board (NGB) are:

  • Internship in Enforcement
  • Internship in Gaming Control (GCCD)
  • Internship in Marketing & Communications (CSRD)

Enforcement – NGB/Int 003-2025
Monthly Stipend: R12,000 per month
National Diploma in Policing or Bachelors Degree in Law/LLB


Gaming Control (GCCD) – NGB/Int 005-2025
Monthly Stipend: R12,000 per month
Three (3) years National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology
or in Computer Science


Marketing and Communications (CSRD) – NGB/Int 006-2025
Monthly Stipend: R12,000 per month
Three (3) years National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or in Journalism

Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates and those living with
disabilities. The appointee will be required to enter into a twelve (12) months fixed term contract
with the NGB (non-renewable).

Successful candidates will be subjected to Personnel Suitability checks and security
clearance. It is the responsibility of candidates with foreign qualifications to have them verified
by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Feedback will be provided to only
shortlisted candidates, who will be interviewed on a date and time specified by the NGB.
