REPORTING STRUCTURE

REPORT TO (TITLE): Chief Safety Officer

ROLE SUMMARY (PURPOSE)

The internship aims to bridge academic safety knowledge with practical application in a real-world mining environment. It provides hands-on experience to develop critical skills for a successful career in Safety Management, fostering professional growth through mentorship and exposure to industry standards.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Diploma/Degree in Safety Management (NQF Level 6 or higher)
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B) preferred
  • Valid medical certificate of fitness for mining operations
  • Basic understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations (advantageous)
