Mbuyelo Mining Contractors invites motivated and academically qualifying young individuals who plan to pursue studies in the 2026 academic year, as well as current undergraduate students at recognised South African tertiary institutions, to apply for the bursary program. This opportunity supports and empowers future leaders in fields critical to the mining industry.

Mbuyelo Mining Contractors invites academically qualifying young people who intend to study during the 2026 academic year, as well as current students already studying towards an undergraduate degree at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa, to apply for the bursary.
Fields of Study
▪ Mechanical Engineering
▪ Mining Engineering
▪ Geology
▪ Safety Management
▪ Environmental Science
Selection Criteria
▪ Must be a South African citizen
▪ Applicants currently in matric: June results with an average of 65% pass aggregate
▪ Students already at tertiary institution, should have obtained a minimum of 65% in all major subjects
▪ Provisional acceptance letter / proof of registration
Additional Information
▪ Selection will be made in accordance with Mbuyelo Group Employment Equity policy
▪ Preference is given to candidates residing within Chief Albert Luthuli, Emakhazeni, and Steve Tshwete Municipality
▪ Late applications will not be considered
