The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) invites young graduates under 35 who are unemployed to apply for internship opportunities that will provide them with valuable workplace experience. The two-year Young Graduate Programme is aimed at graduates from multiple Universities and Universities of Technology, ensuring practical experience for South African citizens.

Supply Chain Management Intern (1 Position)
- Position: Supply Chain Intern
- Department/Unit: Supply Chain Management
- Reporting Position: SRP Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Contract management
- Compliance with the PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE, Corporate Governance, and SCM Regulations
- Evaluating tenders (RFQ, RFP, RFB)
- Assisting with processing purchase orders and ensuring a smooth order-to-delivery cycle
- Tracking contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and related documents
- Supporting resolution of supply chain-related issues for external and internal stakeholders
- Supporting document management in accordance with ISO Standards

- Acquire litigation skills by:
- Researching, investigating, and gathering evidence for litigation matters
- Engaging and providing instructions to legal service providers
- Obtaining or providing expert legal opinions to improve SHRA litigation outcomes
- Report on litigation matters by tracking progress and adhering to defined standards and deadlines
- Develop correspondence, document, and contract drafting skills by drafting emails, letters, documents, and contracts per defined standards and submitting for approval
- Prepare first drafts of correspondence (emails or letters) within required timeframes and submit for vetting and sign-off
- Conduct initial reviews of contracts/documents, making notes and comments, and submitting for final review within timelines
- Coordinate distribution and delivery of amended/approved contracts or documents to required recipients within timelines
- Oversee proper execution and storage of signed contracts/documents
- Assist with developing communication or education on new or changing legal information by:
- Reviewing case law, legal decisions, prescripts, and policies
