Role Context

Assist with day-to-day supply chain management activities.

Key Performance Areas & Functional Outputs
  1. Procurement:
  • Source quotations from tax-compliant suppliers on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
  • Compile RFQ comparative schedules and recommend approvals.
  • Generate and distribute purchase orders.
  • Ensure efficient processing of requisitions and purchase orders.
  1. Bid Administration:
  • Ensure compliance with SCM policies and National Treasury guidelines.
  • Follow up on supplier deliveries for outstanding orders.
  • Facilitate contracts/SLAs for ongoing services.
  • Support bid committee meetings and provide secretariat services.
  1. Logistics Management:
  • Manage and safeguard stationery and groceries.
  • Conduct monthly stock-takes and maintain records.
  • Issue stationery and file request forms for audits.
  1. Travel Arrangements:
  • Assist employees with travel logistics and bookings via agencies.
  • Resolve travel-related queries (internal/external, including after-hours).
  1. Reporting:
  • Ensure 100% compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain RFQ registers and report on procurement status.
  1. Ad Hoc:
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Internal & External Contacts
  • Internal: All AgriSETA departments.
  • External: Stakeholders, DHET, DOL, service providers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • NQF 6 in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
  • Grade 12.
  • No prior work experience required.
Required Competencies
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player.
