Stipend: R8,000.00 per month

Locations and Number of Positions:

  • Gauteng Provincial Office (Pretoria, 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park) – 3 positions
  • Eastern Cape Provincial Office (Port Elizabeth, 20 Shoreward Drive, Baywest) – 1 position
  • Eastern Cape Provincial Office (Flagstaff, Ndwendwe Lodge) – 1 position
  • Kwa-Zulu Natal Provincial Office (Pietermaritzburg, 58 van Eck Place, Mkondeni) – 2 positions

Reporting To: Design and Construction Manager

Internship Objective:
To support project administration across multiple projects within a centralized Project Team, while fostering strong relationships with SANRAL stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Project Management and/or Civil Engineering
  • No prior work experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Engineering Team
  • Attend and take minutes during project meetings
  • Assist Project Managers with editing tender documents
  • Compile draft presentations for tender clarification
  • Provide technical corrections/additions for Addenda to SCM
  • Type and manage documents (letters, agendas, minutes) and upload them to the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
  • Ensure accurate profiling of documents on OpenText
  • Support document availability for audits
  • Upload documents and drawings for project implementation and close-out
  • Arrange local and international travel for Project Managers (including memos, travel insurance, visa applications)
  • Develop general business knowledge of SANRAL

  • Placements align with SANRAL’s Internship Policy, considering applicants’ proximity to the specified offices.
  • Previous participants in an Internship Programme are ineligible.
  • Employment reference checks are mandatory, requiring a signed consent form for verification and record-keeping.
  • Appointments align with SANRAL’s Employment Equity Plan.
