Ngwathe Municipality: Learnership Traffic Trainee X27

The Ngwathe Local Municipality, located in the Free State Province, invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for a 12-month Learnership Programme: Traffic Trainee. This exciting opportunity is designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to excel in the field of traffic management and law enforcement.

Ngwathe Municipality is looking for youth from various communities with appropriate qualifications to enter into the training towards acquiring a certificate in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4). This forms part of the Municipality’s commitment in addressing the high levels of unemployment in our youth, as well as providing the necessary opportunities for skills enhancement.
The Municipality invites suitably qualified unemployed youth/people who meet the relevant minimum requirements for a learnership in Road Traffic Law Enforcement. The training will be provided by Mangaung Traffic Training Academy and the duration will be over a period of 12 months.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- South Africans who are in possession of the Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- SAPS Clearance results with no criminal record
- Medical Examination proof
- Applicants must permanently reside within the jurisdiction of Ngwathe Municipality.
CANDIDATES WILL:
- Be required to pass a written assessment and an interview
- Be required to submit their SAPS Clearance results
- Be required to maintain level of fitness and undergo ongoing fitness assessments
- Candidates will be subject to the code of Conduct of the Ngwathe Municipality.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE POST:
- The municipality is not obligated to offer a permanent position after completion of the training; candidates will be required to undergo extensive physical training, whilst at the Academy and training in accordance with the Firearm and Ammunitions Act.
- Successful candidates will be required to wear a uniform, work shifts and in all weather conditions.
- Only candidates residing in Ngwathe will be accommodated. Proof of residential address and verification of residence will be conducted before any appointment.
