About the Office of the Premier Graduate Internship Programme
The Free State Office of the Premier offers an exciting opportunity for 20 unemployed graduates aged 16 and above to join the Graduate Internship Programme. Successful interns will be placed within four core programmes of the Premier’s office, gaining practical, on-the-job training that combines:
- Technical skills development
- Exposure to good governance principles
- Financial management training
- Public service professionalism
- Crucial life skills to enhance employability
This internship programme aims to address youth unemployment by providing structured workplace experience that prepares graduates for sustainable careers in government or the private sector.
Who Should Apply?
This internship is ideal for graduates with the following qualifications:
NQF Level 7 Qualifications (Degree, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma):
- Bachelor of Public Administration and Management or related Public Sector qualification
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting
Applicants must be:
- Unemployed graduates residing in the Free State Province
- 16 years or older at the time of application
- Committed to a 24-month internship placement
- Holders of a certified NQF Level 7 qualification in the listed fields
Internship Benefits and Stipend
- A monthly stipend will be paid in accordance with the Public Service Internship Programme rates.
