Purpose

The bursary supports the development of highly skilled professionals in scarce and critical skills fields, targeting top-performing South African citizens under 25 years who require financial study support for qualifications aligned with Transnet’s strategic objectives.

Eligible Fields of Study

For both Grade 12 learners (with minimum Level 5/60% in mid-year results or Grade 12 certificate in English and relevant subjects) and current tertiary students:

  • National Diploma/BSc in Computer Science
  • National Diploma/BSc in Geographical Information Systems
  • National Diploma/BSc in Information Systems
  • National Diploma/BSc in Environmental Science
  • National Diploma/BSc in Data Sciences
  • National Diploma/BCom in Accounting Science
