Position: Learnership: Information Technology – System Support
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Stipend: R6 500.00 per month
We are offering an exciting 12-month learnership opportunity for people living with disabilities who are passionate about launching a career in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), with a focus on Systems Support. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a recognised NQF Level 5 qualification and gain practical skills aligned with industry needs. This learnership combines theoretical study and practical work experience, aimed at developing the core skills and competencies required.
Requirements:
- Must be a South African Citizen aged between 18 and 34.
- Must be a person living with a disability (proof of disability is required).
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and English.
- A National Certificate in IT: Technical Support (NQF Level 4) or equivalent is advantageous.
- Strong interest in technology and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy is essential.
- Currently unemployed.
- Willing to commit for the full 12months

Key Responsibilities/Learning Outcomes.
- Apply logical troubleshooting methodologies to resolve common IT hardware and software issues.
- Understand the strategic role of ICT in enabling and supporting business
functions. - Design and implement integrated communication systems using modern technology.
- Store, manage, and retrieve organisational data securely and efficiently.
- Design IT systems that mirror business structures for optimal operational efficiency and data flow.
- Work cost-effectively and efficiently in technology-based projects.
- Participate effectively in IT service management processes such as change, release, and configuration management.
- Install, support, and maintain end-user applications and systems.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive the Occupational Certificate: Cybersecurity Analyst, a recognised NQF Level 5 qualification. This learnership combines theoretical study and practical work experience, aimed at developing the core competencies required to protect digital systems and respond to cyber threats in today’s fast-growing cybersecurity field.
Requirements:
- Must be a South African Citizen aged between 18 and 34.
- Must be a person living with a disability (proof of disability is required).
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical and Life Sciences.
- Hold a National Certificate in Information Technology (e.g., Technical Support, System Support) or Computer Sciences.
- Basic knowledge of computers and networks is advantageous.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Commitment to learning and personal development.
- Currently unemployed.
- Willing to commit for the full 12months

Key Responsibilities/Learning Outcomes.
- Assist with monitoring and analysing security alerts to detect potential threats.
- Support vulnerability assessments and risk evaluation of IT assets.
- Learn to deploy cybersecurity tools including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Assist in documenting security incidents and preparing reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain security compliance and improve protection measures.
- Adhere to data privacy and legal compliance standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of core cybersecurity concepts and practices.
- Understand the legal compliance and societal impact of cybersecurity.
- Design and recommend security solutions that meet organizational needs.
