The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) is calling on unemployed South African graduates from higher education institutions who have finished their studies but lack relevant work experience to apply for its 24-month internship program at the RSR’s Head Office located in Midrand, Waterfall.

The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) invites unemployed South African graduates from institutions of Higher Learning who have completed their qualifications and have not yet gained work experience related to their field of study to apply for its 24-month internship programme, at the RSR’s Head Office in Midrand, Waterfall.

As part of its commitment to skills development, RSR aims to create opportunities for graduates to receive on the job training and gain practical work experience.  However, participation in this programme does not guarantee a full-time position upon completion.

Intern: Human Resources (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Information and Communication Technology (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Media and Communications (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Communications, Graphic Design or related field.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Financial Accounting (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Supply Chain Management (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Procurement.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Supply Chain Management (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Procurement.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Legal Services (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a LLB Degree or Bachelor of Laws.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Company Secretary (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have an LLB Degree or Bachelor of Laws.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Internal Audit (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Internal Auditing or a related field.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Risk Management (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Risk Management, Business Management or a related field.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

Intern: Operations (Midrand)

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a National Diploma or Degree in Economics, or a related field.  
  • A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must not have previously participated in an internship programme at any public or private institution.
  • Must submit the following documents:
    • Cover Letter
    • Certified copies of Identity Document
    • Certified copies of Qualifications
    • Certified copy of Academic record reflecting a 65 % average obtained in the final year of study.
    • SAQA accreditation (if applicable to foreign qualifications)
